Elder Scrolls Blades Early Access Open To All

The newest release by Bethesda is a mobile game called Elder Scrolls Blades, it’s a first person, hack and slash, loot em up.

Blades has been in limited Early access for only a few weeks now, today it officially came out on both IOS and Android for everyone to play, the game itself is relatively fun if you enjoy the elder scrolls universe, the general gist of the game is to run through ruins, kill mobs, collect resources, level your character and rebuild your town, there is a small story that doesn’t way a huge amount on the game, it is there if you want to play through it.

Unfortunately there is a huge “pay-to-win” aspect, every mission has chests in it, and chests are received for completing some missions, each chest has a certain time limit on it, from  5s to multiple hours, of course you can just buy all the chests for gems(in-game currency) but most people don’t want to spend absorbent amounts of money for the chance at some better gear, it is possible to play without spending money it will just take a lot longer. Overall I reccomend giving the game a shot, it is on mobile and its free, if anymore news pops up about Blades, you can be sure to find it here on Unbiased Gaming.

Elder Scrolls Blades Has A Huge Pay-To-Win Problem

Bethesda has been on a rough road since its release of Fallout 76, and with there newest release of Elder Scrolls Blades more problems have popped up.

The general idea of the game is to kill goblins, bandits, and other monsters, collect the most gold, gear, and components, like gems, wood, and limestone. With all of this equipment and resources the main goal is to get to the highest level you can while rebuilding your home town, and for the most part the game does a great job at balancing out leveling your character and building the town, the problems start to pop up when you have to wait 6 hours for a single chest that might not even have anything of use in it.

The screenshot above is showing the exact problem, to open all of these chest it would take 24 hours for the gold chest, and 123 hours to open the silver ones, this is outrageous, I get that they are trying to make money because you can buy your way past all of the timers and get the loot instantly, most people aren’t whales who will drop $5k on a mobile game they wont play in a year, Blades is other wise a super fun game that is slightly addicting, clearing out goblin camps or running through a run wiping out bandits is great, but waiting 3 hours for a single chest that might have a better helmet, sword, or a nice chunk of gold using worth it.
