The eleventh installment in the battlefield franchise this one with a lot of controversy, but none of that matters let’s get into a game play review. Overall the game is pretty solid there are a lot of pros helping the rating score, graphics look flawless there are a lot of guns and each new tides of war season adds new vehicles, weapons, and clothing options that incentives people to keep playing and complete objectives to unlock the newest hot piece of loot for your character. Unfortunately game modes for BFV are very lacking with the loss of a fan favorite Rush and a few other modes conquest is the main game mode people play and grand operation which is just a giant amalgamation of maps and game modes sloppily thrown together, it’s still fun but the game loses a lot of points when you get bored of one game mode and only have two other options. Without a single player except for a few missions that are extremely tedious and long a lot of players were disappointed mainly because every battlefield game so far has had a great single player that draws you in then feeds you a story you care about, remember and draw on while playing multiplayer on maps you just watched your platoon die on, with the newest addition of battlefield V the people got four missions that they almost force you to play if you want some cosmetic items to look cooler then everyone else, they are fun missions and only take a few hours to complete but they are very dull at some points where the player just has to follow an NPC to a point kill a few enemies get a piece of paper then head through a city doing the same over and over till the mission end. There are a lot of weapons for each class that feel very different depending on how you use them, what scopes you have on and what specialization are on it.

Example of specializations

With a total of nine maps at the moment (more to come in the future) overall each map is different in it’s own way but for the most part only 4 of them are unique in every way which is different from the normal formula of a battlefield game but if EA stays true to there word it shouldn’t matter if we receive many more free maps which they have promised. Overall the gun play feels realistic, maps have a lot of variety between them and levolution is still very present, general game feel fits with the WWII time period, not a lot of game modes three of which are just a slightly different take on other ones or a grouping of a bunch of them plus rush missing as of right now. One huge flaw is that there are a few major factions not in game at the moment that EA has said they will include at a later date that include but are not limited to Russia, Japan, Italy, and most important America with many weapons and vehicles to accompany them, over time I feel the game (content wise) will get a lot better once there is more to do that can keep attention longer. Firestorm is set to release mid to late February the new Battle Royale game in the battlefield universe which could be a giant flop now that the Royale category is completely flooded with games.
